Comments: I started my 41 career as an educator in the Superior Schools upon my graduation from ASU in 1960. I left after 3 years and completing work on an M. A. Ed. and returned to CA where I served Pico Rivera as a teacher, coach, counselor and administrator for 34 years in the El Rancho USD. I retired but my wife didn't so I began teaching again in a private school in Sierra Madre, CA. I'm trying to obtain information about how Picketpost Mountain was named. One of my students (1962-63) seemed to believe it was named after a Colonel Picket who established a lookout in the many skirmishes with the Apaches in the 1860's. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
